4 others (white equipment, mardu combo, blue no-interaction, and simic cheats)

Do you like or dislike the seat you were assigned? Why?

I like that my seat keeps changing every draft. It helps keep roto fresh. I’ve been seat 3, 4, 6, 1, and now 5. Seats 4 and 5 are the worst seats because of how long between picks, but I don’t mind. Drafting next to 2blave was annoying in roto 23. Here’s hoping we’ll get along more in roto 25.

What’s your favorite card in Moddy?

Sheoldred, the Apocalypse

What’s your least favorite card in Moddy?

Archon of Cruelty, with 2nd place Anim Pakal and 3rd place Chaos Defiler

What is your strategy going into the draft? What’s your backup plan if your primary strategy is unavailable?

TL;DR: I don’t know, I’ll probably brew a dozen options and pick day of.

The best three cards as deemed by the last roto’s picks were The One Ring, Palantir and Fable. None of those have left the cube, but there are some new cards that might disrupt the balance like Phlage and Tamiyo Inquisitive Student. Then again, last roto Charles showed that taking lots of fetch lands and then going for what’s open (i.e. hard control in a playing-field of cheats and beats) can lead to a perfect record if you know what you’re doing.

Phlage control in boros (or jeskai) would be really cool to see happen, but I don’t know if I have the piloting chops to do it. Twin combo is always strong. I keep talking about wanting to do Rakdos combo with Sheoldred and Ob Nix and my boy Greater Garg, but it keeps getting sniped from me. Maybe Sheoldred into Chaos Defiler Rakdos reanimator, since Rob can’t steal Sheoldred from me? Or maybe just a nice easy strat of “gruul creatures with above average stat blocks into headliner scarlett“? Who knows?

What card(s) do you think you can get late for your strategies?

Body Launderer, Titan of Industry, Balrog, and Flowering of the White Tree are all cards that have never been picked. Any of those could be a pick 30-40 for sure
